Are you a tech savvy with a keen interest and passion working with RoIP and SCADA servers? We have a Regular Full-Time opportunity for an Electronics Technologist, overseeing the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of City of Richmond’s SCADA servers, SCADA workstations, and RoIP servers.
In this role, you will be responsible for data and voice radio networks, Emergency Management communications network, city-wide wireless network and related infrastructure, while exercising good judgment and initiative, working well under pressure, and effectively deal with stressful situations.
We are looking for someone who has:
- A Technologists Diploma in electronics, telecommunications, or computer control.
- Five (5) years sound related experience in an integrated electronics technology environment.
- Thorough knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures related to installation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic communication systems and components, radio transmitters and receivers, alarms systems, and control devices.
- The ability to successfully clear a Police Information Check.
