Technical Tour: Dockside Green – Wastewater Treatment Plant

Meet in front of the VCC at the bus pick-up zone. The bus pickup zone is located directly outside, to the right, of the main VCC entrance on Douglas St.

Dockside Green’s Wastewater Treatment Plant is a fully automated treatment system by the use of SCADA. The treatment plant at Dockside Green was built directly adjacent to two phases of residential buildings, and two phases of commercial buildings in 2008. Designed to function ‘underground’ the treatment plants grade level exposure folds into the surrounding landscape by way of a greenway covered roof, all while servicing the neighbourhoods waterway features, and onsite irrigation, and toilets.
