Frequently Asked Questions
I am a new or returning organization interested in exhibiting, when and how do I select a booth?
New and returning organizations interested in exhibiting fill in an expression of interest application form which will be available in October up until December 9, 2016. Applications are processed via a lottery system to ensure fairness in the allocation of booth space. In cases where applications exceed available booth space a waiting list will be established. Up to 65% of booths are allocated for sponsors, returning and new organizations.
What sponsorships qualify for a booth space in the trade show?
Sponsorships of $3500 or more qualify for a booth space in the trade show (booth fees included).
I sponsored in 2016, do I have a first right of refusal for the same opportunity in 2017?
Annual Conference & Trade Show sponsorships of $3500 or more in 2016 qualify for a first right of refusal option on a similar opportunity* for the 2017 Annual Conference & Trade Show. Our BCWWA Event Planner will be in contact with all 2016 sponsoring organizations that qualify for this option prior to August 31, 2016 to confirm sponsors intent to utilize their first right of refusal.
*While we strive to ensure that first right of refusal sponsorships are as close as possible to the previous year, sponsorship opportunities and pricing may vary year over year.
Can I purchase more than one booth space in the trade show?
What is a founding exhibitor?
Organizations who have exhibited at the show for 9 out of the past 10 years are considered founding exhibitors and to recognize this support, founding exhibitors select in Wave 2 of the exhibitor program.
I am a founding exhibitor selecting a booth in Wave 2 but am selecting towards the end of the Wave 2 process?
In order to establish a fair process for all founding exhibitors BCWWA uses a priority system that ranks founding exhibitors based on their participation in the trade show over the past 10 years and their sponsorship history over the past 2 years. This is similar to the process used by AWWA. The Wave 2 order is a randomized order each year in order to keep the process fair and equitable for all founding exhibitors.
Are there additional ways I can participate in the conference and trade show?
The educational program for the conference and trade show provides opportunities to participate as a presenter in sessions and other activity areas.
