Continuing education for operators has been a core program of the BC Water & Waste Association (BCWWA) since the organization’s inception in 1978. For more than four decades, we have been the largest and most trusted source of training in BC and the Yukon, preparing operators for certification exams, providing CEU credits, and helping operators advance their careers. We understand the unique training needs of the industry.
Why Choose the BCWWA?
Our commitment to quality
The BCWWA regularly reviews course content and design, incorporating new technology and best practices so that our courses are always current and relevant.
Training for operations specialists, by operations specialists
Our certified instructors have extensive industry experience, and are trained in the latest teaching methods to provide you with an interactive and engaging learning environment.
Flexible training solutions to suit every budget
We work with employers to design the curriculum and delivery method that best meets your needs - in-class, online or as a custom program delivered at your site.
Advance your career
Our courses are designed to build and apply technical knowledge that aligns with the competencies and skills needed to enhance job performance and advance your career.
As a not-for-profit organization, we reinvest ALL of the proceeds from our courses into advancing the interests of the water sector and enhancing our course offerings.
Product Enhancements in Progress
The BCWWA’s goal is to ensure that the BC and Yukon region has a competent and sustainable water sector workforce – now, and into the future. We recognize that the continuing education needs of the water industry are changing, driven by retirements, shifting learner profiles, new technology, and changing regulations and certification requirements.
This is why we have embarked on a complete review and revision of our current course offerings. We are taking a leadership role to “raise the bar” across the industry, building high quality professional development products that meet the needs of employers, operators, and others involved in the water sector. Watch this space for upcoming “new” courses.
