The BC Water & Waste Association supports two student chapters in BC:
Student chapters are recognized by the BCWWA as important groups to help ensure a competent and sustainable water sector workforce, and a cohesive network of water practitioners in BC and the Yukon. Their purpose is to promote student interest in the water sector by facilitating the exchange of knowledge, and by hosting educational and networking events.
The president of each student chapter participates as a member of the BCWWA’s Young Professionals Advisory Committee so that the BCWWA is aware of and can support the activities of each student chapter.
The student chapters, through their relationship with the BCWWA, are also affiliated with the American Water Works Association (AWWA) and the Water Environment Federation (WEF).
