The BC Water & Waste Association is always looking for bright and engaged volunteers to help support our work. We provide a range of opportunities for you to make new contacts, learn new skills and support professional development and networking events for water practitioners.

ANNUAL CONFERENCE
Volunteering at the Annual Conference & Trade Show is a great way to learn more about the water and wastewater sector while also giving back to the Association. You'll have the opportunity to network with others in your field and meet key contributors to the BCWWA, including members of the Board of Directors and the Technical Advisory Committees. The volunteer roles include:
- Registration Desk
- Trade Show Support
- Conference Floor Support
As a volunteer, you will have access to select conference education sessions.

PROGRAM AND TECHNICAL ADVISORY COMMITTEES
Our program and technical advisory committees are made up of experienced water professionals from across the sector who have a deep understanding of the issues covered by their committee. The committees provide subject matter advice to the Association about important water issues in BC and the Yukon, and inform the Association’s training, events, and policy advocacy work. These groups meets by phone several times each year and are regular contributors to Watermark Magazine.
We are currently accepting volunteer applications the following committees:
Infrastructure Management Committee
Subject matter expertise required: Infrastructure funding and asset management
Risk & Resilience Committee
Subject matter expertise required: Utility emergency preparedness and climate change
Water Sustainability Committee
Subject matter expertise required: BC's Water Sustainability Act
Yukon Committee
Subject matter expertise required: Water issues unique to the North
