Currently, BCWWA is seeking abstract submissions that center on the theme of “Navigating Changing Tides: Learning, Reflecting, Adapting” for their conference which will be held virtually from June 1st to the 2nd. This year’s theme for the BCWWA Annual Conference & Trade Show is centered on reflecting, learning and adapting so that the water sector can continue to overcome any obstacles to deliver safe and reliable water services. It showcases how the water industry has heroically risen to the challenge, creatively collaborating and innovating in new ways, and working together to promptly adapt to changes within the sector brought on by the pandemic.
Like many local businesses and associations, the pandemic has impacted the BCWWA’s ability to generate revenue and deliver programs and services of value for our water community. Support us in connecting and empowering the BC and Yukon water sector to advocate for and safeguard public health and the environment.
Some of the benefits of speaking a conference include:
- Getting in touch with your target audience
- Contributing to a major event with the water and wastewater sector
- Sharing your expertise and giving back to the community
- Gaining valuable networking opportunities
- Generating exposure for your organization and showcasing your team’s findings and successes.
While the format will be virtual again this year, the BCWWA is continuing the long-standing tradition of providing valuable education, exhibitions and networking opportunities, but in an interactive online format. Last year’s education program received higher approval ratings than ever before, and the format enabled speakers to rehearse and record their presentations in advance. If stage fright has stopped you from applying in the past, this is ideal speaking opportunity for you!
